Frequently Asked Questions
Do I meet the sitter before service?
Yes, for all potential clients an initial consultation is required before your first service can be provided. This consultation will give us time to learn about your pets, fill out paperwork, take notes about your home and required tasks, and collect keys from you. Please be sure to call far enough in advance to schedule your consultation.
What is daily/daytime dog walking?
A daytime dog walker will walk or visit dogs that need a regular break during the busy work day. A walker may be scheduled daily or just a few days a week, depending on your work schedule and the needs of your pet.
How many times a day will my sitter visit?
The frequency of visits is something we will discuss at the consultation and be determined by your needs and wishes. We recommend that dogs receive a minimum of 3 visits per day (morning, afternoon and evening) and cats receive at least 1 visit per day. Most clients choose once or twice per day visits.
Do you offer overnight sitting in my home or the sitter's home?
At this time we do not offer any overnight services.
Do you have insurance and bonding?
Yes. We are insured and bonded through Business Insurers of the Carolinas. Our coverage includes care, custody and control of your pet. We are also background screened and certified as a professional pet sitter. You can visit our company profile through Pet Sitters International at http://www.petsit.com by entering your zip code in the pet sitter locator tool.
